Aberdeen’s renowned craft brewery, Fierce Beer, is kicking off Cup Final fever early, by rolling out three Aberdeen Football Club-inspired beers across selected Scotmid stores in the area, in perfect time for the Scottish Cup Final.
Fans can find Fierce Beer’s specially crafted AFC range, stocked in Scotmid stores in Laurencekirk, Inverbervie, Bucksburn, Jesmond, Bieldside, and Crown Street. The range comprises:
- The 1983 Aberdeen Lager
- Its refreshing counterpart, 1983 Aberdeen Lager Alcohol-Free
- The robust Wasp Stout
Each beer pays homage to Aberdeen’s proud football heritage, especially celebrating the European Cup Winners’ Cup triumph of 1983, making these brews the perfect companions for fans gearing up to cheer on the Dons as they take on Celtic on May 24th.
Adding an extra kick, Fierce Beer is also launching its limited-edition Cerveza Feroz with Habanero & Lime into all Scotmid stores across the country, which will join the existing Scotmid range following Fierce’s recent success in Scotmid’s prestigious Scottish Favourites competition.
Craig Cargill, Sales Manager at Fierce Beer, commented:
“As proud Aberdonians, launching these AFC-inspired beers locally means a lot to us, especially with the excitement building ahead of the Scottish Cup Final. Collaborating with Scotmid to bring these beers to communities across Aberdeen is something special, and we’re excited for fans to raise a glass to the Dons in true Fierce style.”
Steven Addison, Local Sourcing Manager at Scotmid, added:
“We’re delighted to further our collaboration with Fierce Beer, particularly ahead of such an important event for Aberdeen. Supporting local businesses is core to our ethos, and we’re excited to bring these distinctive Aberdeen-themed brews to our shelves, for a bit of extra flavour for matchday celebrations.”
To mark the occasion, Scotmid is running a special promotion: Buy any two 440ml cans of Fierce beer alongside a twin pack of Doner Kebab Pies for just £6, offering fans a tasty saving of at least £1.50.
This limited time offer, and the unique Fierce lineup, will surely appeal to Aberdeen locals looking to toast their city’s players as they chase cup glory.
