To mark the opening of its latest exhibition, V&A Dundee has announced a new ‘Tatha Takeover’ event on Saturday 18 April in collaboration with Ballintaggart, bringing the modern Scottish dining experience of the Perthshire based farm, restaurant and cookery school to the Dundee waterfront.

The Tatha Takeover series features exclusive, one-night-only dining experiences, where guest chefs and leading culinary talents take over the onsite Tatha Bar & Kitchen for a unique evening of food and hospitality.

This special edition celebrates the opening of the exhibition Catwalk: The Art of the Fashion Show, promising a night where creativity, craftsmanship and flavour come together around the table.

A UK exclusive to V&A Dundee, Catwalk: The Art of the Fashion Show charts the dramatic evolution of the runway, from the intimate couture salons of the late 19th century to today’s immersive, live-streamed fashion spectacles.

For the takeover, guests will enjoy a beautifully curated sharing feast from Ballintaggart, showcasing the very best seasonal ingredients from outstanding Scottish producers, always prepared at their peak, and designed to be savoured together.

Sandy Robson, Director of Heritage Portfolio, catering partner for V&A Dundee commented:

“Ballintaggart’s approach to seasonal Scottish produce and shared dining perfectly complements the spirit of the Catwalk exhibition; bringing people together through creativity, storytelling and experience. We can’t wait to welcome them to the V&A for a memorable evening of excellent food, drink, and culture.”

Menu highlights include smoked wood pigeon, garlic and herb stuffed porchetta, and Ballintaggart Mess – a Scottish take on the classic Eton Mess – to finish.

Guests can enhance their experience with optional wine flight pairings, carefully selected to complement each dish. A themed cocktail menu will also be available, featuring stylish classics and bespoke creations inspired by the drama and glamour of the runway.

Tickets are priced at £79.95, which includes a welcome glass of Cava on arrival, along with half a bottle of wine per person to enjoy alongside the evening’s seasonal feast.
