ABERDEEN-based Caber Coffee has further underlined its CSR commitment, giving coffee lovers the chance to fill their cup in aid of a worthy cause with their recently launched festive blend.

Following the creation of the “Spill the Beans” blend which has raised some £3000 for Mental Health Aberdeen in just over a year, the family-run business has now added “Stocking Filler” as its latest way of supporting another local worthy cause.

Described as: “a magical blend full of festive flavour that fuels Santa’s travels” the new blend is rich, chocolatey, and very festive with 25p from every retail bag to be donated to Northsound’s Cash for Kids’ Mission Christmas Appeal.

Commenting on the success of the new project so far, Caber Coffee Managing Director Findlay Leask said: “We’ve been overwhelmed by the initial sales of our retail packs since launching them just a few months ago. Keen to continue to build on the charity tie-ins that we already have, I was certain that we needed to work with a local charity with a specific Christmas need for “Stocking Filler.” Mission Christmas, the Cash for Kids appeal headed up by Northsound, was an obvious choice.

“We’d like to thank all of the retailers who have ordered so-far for all their support broadcasting Stocking Filler widely across a variety of social media channels.”

Michelle Ferguson of Northsound Cash for Kids added: “We are so grateful to Caber Coffee for creating this Christmas blend for us and raising much needed funds for our Mission Christmas Appeal. Mission Christmas is our biggest appeal of the year, and we aim to provide gifts for every child in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire who are at risk of waking on Christmas morning with nothing to open.

“This is a huge operation and last year we helped 5,320 children whom Santa forgot. We could not deliver this appeal without the contribution from our corporate supporters as we use cash donations to purchase gifts in order to meet the specific demands and often purchase specialised toys for children with special needs where required. We receive donations from all over our listening area and they have to be sorted and distributed to the health visitors, social workers and professionals working with the children we help.”
