Cefetra has launched an innovative mobile application to provide farmers with real-time access to essential business information, including invoices, payments, contracts and market data.

The Cefetra Farmers Portal and Mobile App offers users a streamlined digital platform to manage key aspects of their business from any location, whether in the office or out in the field.

Designed to meet the evolving needs of modern farming, the app enables farmers to view contracts and payment details, track collection and delivery schedules, access grain sample results in real time, monitor market prices and manage their accounts on-the-go.

Cefetra, a group of leading companies and brands in the animal nutrition and food and drink ingredient industries, has developed the app to strengthen links with its farmers.

James Neilson, Supply Chain Director, said: “We understand that farming does not stop, so neither should access to information. The Cefetra Farmers Portal and Mobile App has been developed to give farmers flexibility and control, enabling them to interact with us in a way that suits their schedule, be it via the app, a phone call, or a face-to-face visit.

“This tool provides visibility 24 hours a day, seven days a week across contracts, deliveries, invoices, and more, directly from a smartphone, PC or tablet.”

The app is currently being rolled out in phases, with customers receiving email instructions on how to get started. Dedicated support is also available from Cefetra’s network of farm buyers to help with the onboarding experience.

This latest innovation builds on Cefetra’s continued commitment to improve services and foster long-term partnerships. The app launch follows the success of Cefetra Ecosystem Services, a programme which financially rewards farmers for adopting low-carbon, sustainable practices.

Through this initiative, Cefetra is supporting the reduction of Scope 3 indirect emissions from the supply chain via regenerative agriculture, while enabling customers to access grain and oilseed products aligned with Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) criteria.

Cefetra Ecosystem Services features a partnership with leading bank NatWest to reduce the financial barriers for farmers transitioning to more sustainable agricultural practices. Through its asset finance arm Lombard*, NatWest provides critical financial assistance to farmers in the Cefetra Ecosystem Services programme, to make the changes required more viable.

Cefetra is also collaborating with Noble Green Energy, part of Noble Foods Group, to offer tailored on-farm energy audits, identifying efficiency improvements and potential cost savings to Cefetra Ecosystem Services farmers.

These innovations position Cefetra as a partner in the agricultural sector’s transition towards a more sustainable, low-emissions future.

Founded in 1992 and headquartered in Glasgow, Cefetra Ltd is part of a wider group of companies and brands operating across the animal nutrition, food, and beverage ingredient industries. With a national team of grain buyers and regional offices throughout England and Scotland, the company generates an annual turnover exceeding £1.5 billion.
