As part of its work as the Highland Regional Food Group, the Highland Good Food Partnership announces an exciting Meet the Producers tour in collaboration with Visit Inverness Loch Ness.
This tour is part of the ‘Showcasing Scotland Local’ series of events supported by Scotland Food & Drink.
The event is designed to grow sales of Scottish produce by bringing together buyers and suppliers to do business across the retail, wholesale, hospitality and independent sectors.
Food businesses signing up for the event on 2 and 3 April 2025 will be taken on a whistlestop tour of local producers including Daviot Steading, Black Isle Brewery, Loch Ness Honey, Inverness Botanic Gardens, Balnain Blueberries and Loch Ness Ice Cream.

The Meet the Producers tour will showcase some of the amazing, high-quality ingredients available locally and offer a unique opportunity for businesses to explore and invest in these exceptional products.
The initiative aims to support and promote local producers while encouraging buyers to do the same. Local procurement plays a crucial role in the sustainability of small-scale food producers.
By sourcing locally, businesses not only support the local economy but also help reduce food miles and contribute to a more resilient food system.
The guided tour will provide food businesses, chefs, retailers and suppliers with an in-depth look into the production processes of local producers. They will have the opportunity to hear the stories behind the businesses and discover new local produce to incorporate into their offerings.

“This event is such a fantastic opportunity to bring together buyers and producers on-site, and have a bit of a peek behind the curtain,” said Brenna Anderson, the event organiser at Highland Good Food Partnership.
“It’s exciting to see the enthusiasm from both sides, and we hope this tour strengthens relationships that uplift our local food community.”
Departing from Daviot Steading on 2nd April, the tour will visit South Clunes Farm & Highland Hill Larder, Black Isle Brewery & Garden, Loch Ness Honey and Loch Ness Ice Cream, concluding with a networking lunch back at Daviot Steading.
On 3rd April, the tour will begin at Inverness Botanic Gardens, visiting Guisachan Tea, Balnain Blueberries and Achpopuli Farm, followed by a networking lunch in the glasshouse featuring dessert by XOKO Bakehouse.
Each day will provide buyers with the chance to engage directly with producers, tour facilities and discuss opportunities for local procurement.

Emma Harrison, Destination Development Manager at Visit Inverness Loch Ness, added: “The Meet the Producers tour comes after a very successful Inverness and Loch Ness Food and Drink Festival and is a further example of the area’s status as a go to foodie destination.
“We would encourage local businesses to take advantage of this opportunity as we know that visitors to the area are increasingly looking for the best examples of locally produced food and drink to enjoy.”
With limited spaces available, we encourage interested participants to secure their spot early. To register or for more information, please contact Brenna at brenna@highlandgoodfood.scot.
