Glasgow’s newest drinks delivery service, Zoom Drinks Delivery, has become the first retailer to offer a ‘silentnight’ delivery option meaning customers can order worry-free of doorbells or loud knocks.

From a late-night delivery waking up flatmates, to the fear of stocking the fridge at risk of waking up the wee ones, home deliveries don’t come without their challenges.

App users opting-in for a ‘silent night’ service at checkout will be safe in the knowledge that drivers will be under strict instruction not to disturb customers, but instead give them time to greet them at the door following an arrival message.

With Zoom Drinks Delivery operating until midnight, the business is expecting it to be a popular addition to late night tipple orders.

Recent research reveals 75% of couples report that they’ve had a planned romantic evening disrupted by delivery drivers causing dogs to bark, babies to wake or aggravating flatmates.

Lee Grant, Managing Director at Zoom Drinks Delivery said: “This is an issue we know matters to lots of our customers, particularly families of young children.

“And whether it’s notes left on the doorstep for delivery drivers, or attempts to message them through various apps, it always ends with a knock on the door, or a doorbell ringing.

So as we enter the winter months, when popping out becomes even harder, we wanted to address this once and for all – a simple guarantee to our customers that they can actually get to enjoy their drinks in peace thanks to our new silent night service.”

Launching in the city this summer, Zoom Drinks Delivery currently offers over 800 different drinks products to Glasgow and Paisley postcodes.

As well as a huge selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, the delivery service offers all you need for the perfect at-home date night to avoid going out in the cold this winter.
