Two of Edinburgh Airport’s food and beverage outlets have picked up awards at an international ceremony.

Brewdog and Barburrito were honoured at the airport Food & Beverage (FAB) Conference & Awards in Dallas, seeing off competition from outlets in airports in Auckland, Sydney, Dubai and Los Angeles among others.

Brewdog won Airport Bar of the Year (under 15 million passengers) while Barburrito won the Airport ‘Food to Go’ of the Year in the regional Europe category.

Gail Taylor, Director of Retail and Property said:

“It’s brilliant to see two of our outlets being recognised on the international stage as it shows the quality of choice that is on offer at Edinburgh Airport.

“Both of these outlets were world airport firsts and the teams worked hard to make them a success, with these awards a recognition all of our efforts and they accompany the positive feedback we have had from passengers. We’ll continue to improve our service and offering at Scotland’s busiest airport.”

Nick Ayerst, MD, TRG Concessions

“This important recognition celebrates our efforts in bringing first-class dining and drinking experiences to Edinburgh’s passengers and we believe that the awards also recognising the superior level of guest service that our whole team deliver every day.”
