Nicholson’s Pubs have launched of their third annual Autumn Beer Showcase, a month-long event championing all things beer.

Running from 24th September to 4th November, it will allow hop heads and guests the chance to try some of Britain’s best brews with over 40 special ales and craft beers on offer.

Guests will spot a wide and thirst-quenching range of taps on offer at Nicholson’s Pubs across Edinburgh with small and famed brewers set to feature prominently throughout the showcase, including the likes of WooHa and Fyne Ales.  Beer fans will be happy to hear a number of special ‘Meet the Brewer’ events and tasting evenings will be popping up at specific pubs, giving aficionados the opportunity to discover new flavours and uncover the secrets behind a perfect brew.

Ben Lockwood, beer and cider procurement manager at Mitchells and Butlers, said: “For the second time this year we’re partnering with some of the finest breweries in the UK to launch a series of Tap Takeovers. Our pubs and guests love being able to discover a full range of beers from one brewery, and it allows us to plan a host of fun and engaging events across the UK to celebrate. Look out for favourites, exclusives, and specials across the next six weeks.”

SHOWCASE HIGHLIGHTS…

Popular Scottish brewers Fyne and WooHa will be showcasing their knowledge to the punters of Edinburgh and Glasgow. Fyne will be holding tastings of the likes of their ‘Maverick’ and ‘Hurricane Jack’ beers, along with an exclusive Meet the Brewer event happening down at Edinburgh’s Rose Street Brewery on 17th October. Glasgow will be treated to WooHa’s fine ales during their takeover of the Drum & Monkey pub on 27th September, featuring brews such as ‘Off Kilter’ and their ‘Sunshine IPA.’
