Pret A Manger has announced the introduction of a fresh meal deal offer, positioning itself alongside supermarket competitors like Tesco and Sainsbury’s with pricing that starts at £6. The new deal is designed to entice lunchtime customers, offering a combination of a sandwich, snack, and drink for a fixed price.

Supermarkets have long dominated the meal deal market with affordable options for office workers and commuters. Pret’s entry into this sector represents an effort to provide a premium alternative while striving to stay accessible with competitive pricing. The deal includes the brand’s signature sandwiches, as well as a selection of snacks and drinks.

Customers can choose from a variety of Pret’s classic sandwiches, alongside snacks such as crisps, fruit, or sweet treats, and pair them with either bottled or barista-made beverages. The offering reflects Pret’s recognition of changing consumer habits and increasing competition on price and convenience.

Scottish customers can access Pret’s new meal deal at branches in:

  • St Andrews (Market Street)
  • Edinburgh (including Princes Street, Lothian Road, and Edinburgh Airport)
  • Glasgow (Queen Street and Sauchiehall Street)
  • Dundee (5 Whitehall Crescent and Brook Street)
  • Aberdeen (Bon Accord Shopping Centre)

Pret’s move marks a shift in strategy, signalling its ambition to capture a larger share of the lunchtime market by emulating the format popularised by supermarkets. With the deal set at £6, it aims to balance value with the premium experience associated with the brand.
