An Aberdeen restaurant has been recognised on the national stage after being nominated for Best Authentic Restaurant at the Asian Curry Awards 2025.

Rehmats Restaurant, based in Aberdeen, is among a select group of venues from across the UK to be shortlisted for the prestigious awards, often described as the “Oscars of the Curry Industry”. The annual event celebrates excellence, creativity and authenticity across Asian cuisine, honouring establishments that uphold the highest culinary and hospitality standards.

Mrs Iqbal, owner and head chef at Rehmats, said the nomination was a proud moment for the entire team. “We are absolutely delighted and honoured to receive this nomination. It reflects the passion, dedication, and hard work of our entire team, as well as the loyalty of our valued customers who continue to support us,” she said.

The winners of the Asian Curry Awards 2025 will be announced at a ceremony on the 13th of Octobe, bringing together leading figures from across the UK restaurant and hospitality industry.
