Carrot growers and industry professionals will come together in York on 1 October for the 2026 British Carrot Growers Association (BCGA) Demonstration Day, hosted by BCGA Chairman Rodger Hobson of Hobson Farming.
The annual event provides an important opportunity for growers to see over 70 carrot trial plots as well as the latest developments in carrot production. A nearby parsnip trial will also showcase 11 varieties, providing delegates with an additional opportunity to assess the latest growing techniques and varieties available to the industry.
This year’s event is already shaping up to be one of the largest yet, with 24 exhibition stands confirmed and a number of new exhibitors joining the event for the first time. The exhibition provides companies with the opportunity to meet directly with growers and industry professionals, showcase their products and services, and build valuable connections within the sector.
The BCGA is delighted to welcome BASF Nunhems as lunch sponsor, Elsoms as breakfast sponsor and Hazera Seeds as programme partner for this year’s event.
Rodger Hobson, Chairman of the British Carrot Growers Association and host of this year’s Demonstration Day, said:

“The BCGA Demonstration Day is growing year on year, and it is the place for growers and the wider supply chain to come together to see the latest varieties in the field, and to share knowledge and experiences with others across the industry. The extensive trials of both carrots and parsnips, as well as a strong line-up of exhibitors, will make for an invaluable day for everyone.”
Additional sponsorship opportunities are still available for companies looking to raise their profile at the event. With an expected attendance of more than 250 delegates, the Demonstration Day offers businesses an excellent platform to showcase their products and services directly to a highly relevant grower audience.
