New destination at St Vincent Place to house Scottish premiere and expanded Brasserie, creating 90 jobs.
A major new dining destination is set to open in Glasgow this autumn, bringing The Ivy Asia to Scotland for the first time alongside a larger home for The Ivy Glasgow Brasserie. The new venue at 30-40 St Vincent Place will unite the two dining concepts under one roof.
The move from the Brasserie’s current Buchanan Street location will create 90 new hospitality jobs. The new St Vincent Place destination will offer around 265 covers in total, with 175 covers at The Ivy Glasgow Brasserie and 90 at The Ivy Asia Glasgow.

The final service at the Buchanan Street Brasserie will take place on Sunday, 4 October.
The Ivy Asia Glasgow will introduce its Asian-inspired dining concept to Scotland, featuring vibrant flavours, theatrical dining, and a high-energy atmosphere.
The Ivy Glasgow Brasserie will continue to offer all-day dining seven days a week, including breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, and cocktails. Both restaurants will be situated within a historic building dating from 1870–1873, originally constructed for the City of Glasgow Bank. The building, located between George Square and Buchanan Street, was designed by Scottish architect John Burnet Sr., whose work also includes Glasgow’s Stock Exchange and Merchants’ House. Its former banking hall features a glass dome, Ionic columns, symmetrical arcades, and ornate leaded glazing, inspired by Renaissance Florence.

Kate Cooper, Restaurant Operating Officer for the North, commented on the expansion, she said: “This is a really significant moment for The Ivy in Glasgow. We’re bringing The Ivy Asia to Scotland for the first time while giving The Ivy Brasserie a new home in one of the city’s most spectacular buildings.”
She added that St Vincent Place offers the opportunity to genuinely be part of Glasgow’s food and drink scene and create something new for guests.

Olivia Wong will serve as Senior General Manager at The Ivy Glasgow, overseeing both dining concepts at St Vincent Place. Wong said: “St Vincent Place is an incredible setting for the exciting next chapter of The Ivy in Glasgow. We’re bringing something completely new to the city with The Ivy Asia, while giving our Brasserie guests a bigger home to enjoy.”
She further expressed pride in being part of Glasgow’s dining scene and the chance to build on that presence.
Further details, including specific opening dates, menus, and first-look images, are expected in the coming weeks. The opening is part of a wider change for both the St Vincent Place and Buchanan Street sites, with more information to follow.
