The ultimate foodie raffle for the DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal

AN ONLINE raffle, supported by independent restaurants and food producers from across Scotland, is aiming to raise £5,000 for the DEC Ukraine Appeal, which will support 100 Ukrainian refugee families with emergency food for one month.


With funds standing at just over £4,000, and with five days to go, the award-winning Linlithgow based chocolatier, Sebastian Kobelt, is highlighting the opportunity for foodies to win some fantastic meals, and food and drink prizes and experiences, while supporting the humanitarian aid appeal in Ukraine.


Dining prizes include
• Dinner for two with wine Aizle in Edinburgh

• A seven course meal with wine for two at Fhior in Edinburgh

• Dinner, bed and breakfast for two at The Roman Camp Hotel in Callander

• Lunch for two at Eusebi Deli in Glasgow

• Lunch or dinner for four at Gary Maclean’s Creel Caught restaurant in Edinburgh’s St James Quarter

• Lunch for two at The Cellar in Anstruther

• Lunch for two at The Gannett in Glasgow

• Dinner for two at Locanda de Gusti in Edinburgh


Food and drink experiences include:
• A private whisky tasting for two with Colin Hinds at Tipsie Midgie in Edinburgh

• A chutney masterclass with Jean Miller from Millers Larder

• A tour and tasting voucher at Linlithgow Distillery

• A fermentation workshop with Nourished by Nature

We’re absolutely delighted with the funds raised to date and are hoping for a last minute push this week to meet our £5,000 target, which would provide emergency food for a month for 100 refugee families who are fleeing the war in Ukraine.”
