Toby & Co launches ‘The Red One’ as luxury functional drinks range expands

Luxury functional drinks brand Toby & Co has unveiled its second expression, The Red One, following the award-winning success of its debut release, The Green One.

Created by founder Tobias Gorn, the new launch is positioned as a sophisticated functional soft drink designed to support relaxation, restoration and calm evening rituals. It combines layered botanical flavour with a curated blend of functional ingredients traditionally associated with wellbeing.

Built around rich red fruit notes including cherry, dark grape and pomegranate, The Red One draws inspiration from English country garden botanicals alongside Mediterranean and Alpine influences. African rooibos adds warmth and depth, resulting in a complex and refined flavour profile aimed at premium consumers.

The formulation includes a carefully selected mix of botanicals, mushrooms, minerals and vitamins, including reishi mushroom, chamomile, valerian, evening primrose and passionflower. These are complemented by magnesium, electrolytes, glycine, hibiscus, citrus extracts and L-theanine, ingredients commonly linked to calming and restorative effects.

As with all Toby & Co products, The Red One contains no added sugar, artificial sweeteners or artificial colours. Ingredients are ethically sourced, with a focus on delivering both flavour and functional benefit without compromise.

Designed with versatility in mind, The Red One can be enjoyed as a standalone drink, used as a premium mixer or incorporated into cocktails. Its positioning makes it suitable for luxury hospitality settings, wellness-focused environments and high-end retail.

Founder Tobias Gorn said: “We originally intended to launch both expressions together because they complement each other beautifully. However, we wanted first to understand how consumers and industry professionals would respond to The Green One. The Red One was created as the calming counterpart; something restorative, elegant and genuinely enjoyable to drink, while still delivering subtle functional benefits.”

Together, The Green One and The Red One reflect Toby & Co’s wider vision of luxury functional drinks inspired by travel, nature and sensory experience, aimed at elevating modern drinking occasions.

The Red One is available at an RRP of £59.88 for a case of 12 (equivalent to £4.99 per can).
