Winners get all-expenses-paid, VIP tour of salmon farm in Scottish Highlands
Two U.S. based chefs have just been announced as winners of the very first Loch Duart Salmon and Chef’s Roll culinary competition. Chefs across America were challenged to create a signature dish, using Loch Duart Salmon, which showcased the versatility and superior flavour of the fish.
The two winning chefs are:
- Chef Yuri Szarzewski – Partage restaurant, Las Vegas
Dish: “The Flowers of Loch Duart, Scottish rose Salmon Radis beurre”
- Chef Marat Nezamov – Level restaurant, New York
Dish: “Kombu cured Loch Duart Salmon”
The runners up who won an exclusive Loch Duart – engraved Meglio fillet knife are:
- Chef Jesse Paul – Park Hyatt Aviara
- Chef Dylan Harper – Three Thirty Three
- Chef Monkut Saysit – Black Sheep Social
- Chef Wes Tyler – The Club at Carlton Woods

The competition, which ran across America, saw Loch Duart Salmon partner with the global, online culinary community and platform Chef’s Roll. Running from October through to November 2025, over one hundred chefs entered, with forty selected to take part in the challenge, using a free sample of Loch Duart Salmon to prepare their favourite salmon recipe. Judges then chose the two most outstanding dishes which used Loch Duart Salmon in a way that highlighted the supreme taste and texture of the award winning fish.
The Loch Duart team travelled across the U.S. to support the competition and met some of the chefs who took part in the challenge. The reputation of Loch Duart Salmon has been growing in the U.S. and throughout the competition the chefs and restaurants that worked with their salmon enthused about it. Responses included: “This is the best Atlantic salmon I have ever tasted”
