West Ham United and the Club’s Official Beer Partner, BrewDog have teamed up to craft something special for the Claret and Blue faithful – Claret & Brew Amber Lager.
Claret & Brew will be available for Hammers fans to purchase on draft when it officially launches at the Bridge Two bar at London Stadium for the Club’s Premier League clash with Liverpool this Sunday (30th November).
Coming in at 4.5% ABV, the specially crafted lager for West Ham United fans is packed with rich malt character, balanced by hints of citrus and a subtle floral aroma. A snappy bitterness rounds it off with a crisp, refreshing finish that’s made for matchdays.
Following this weekend’s launch, fans (18+) around the world will be able to get their hands on a limited edition can of ‘Claret & Brew’ from December 2nd when the product launches via BrewDog’s online store. The specially brewed ‘Claret & Brew’ pays tribute to West Ham’s iconic colours and has already received the Hammers Seal of approval from Club legend Carlton Cole who took his role very seriously – going as far as visiting BrewDog to oversee and even lend a hand with the brewing process.

Just like his famous days in Claret & Blue, Carlton was on hand to be the main man and the focal point in attack in the creation of Claret & Brew, which was launched with a video campaign across West Ham United and BrewDog’s digital channels. The Hammers legend will now be meeting fans on Sunday, pouring plenty of pints as his beloved Club look to toast another three points at London Stadium.

“It was great to be involved with the making of ‘Claret & Brew’, I had to make sure to give it the West Ham seal of approval, I felt the pressure to make sure I got it right for the fans, but I knew I was the man for the job! It’s brilliant to have a dedicated West Ham United beer, and I know the Claret & Blue army will raise a Claret & Brew on Sunday at London Stadium. I look forward to pouring some pints for the fans ahead of the big game against Liverpool”

The launch of a West Ham United beer is the latest collaboration with BrewDog, after the pair marked the launch of their partnership by giving away grassroots football kits to a whole host of teams across East London and Essex. This as well as offering discounts in BrewDog bars to Club Season Ticket holders and hosting a fan party in their Atlanta location during the Premier League Summer Series.
