Whisky Hammer, a leading online whisky auctioneer founded by entrepreneurial Scottish brothers Craig and Daniel Milne, is celebrating its 10th anniversary by opening its first operational base in mainland Europe. The new location in Alphen aan den Rijn, South Holland, will support the company’s growing European customer base.

Founded in 2015 in rural Aberdeenshire, near the world-famous Speyside whisky region, Whisky Hammer has grown into one of the world’s top-rated online whisky auction platforms. The business runs monthly global auctions featuring rare and collectible bottles, serving thousands of customers worldwide.

Whisky Hammer is now actively recruiting a General Manager and Dutch team to lead operations at its new Dutch entity, Whisky Hammer B.V., which is expected to begin operating in Q3 2025.

Known for its highly personal and trusted service, Whisky Hammer offers a curated selection of rare and unique whiskies in its monthly online auctions, connecting sellers and collectors around the world.

Daniel Milne, Co-founder and CEO, said:

“What began as a passion project has grown beyond anything we imagined. As we celebrate a decade in business, we are incredibly grateful to our team and our loyal customers who have supported us every step of the way.

Our European customers are an integral part of the Whisky Hammer community. Launching our Dutch base means we can offer a smoother, more accessible service to our current clients – and welcome many new ones as well.”

Craig Milne, Co-founder and Operations Director, added:

“Opening a new base in the Netherlands is a fitting way to mark our 10-year milestone. This move brings us closer to our European clients and reinforces our commitment to excellent customer service.

Every bottle entrusted to us is handled with care and respect, and we look forward to offering our renowned service to an even broader audience.”
