Michael McLaren, Sales & Marketing Director of family-run Port Glasgow-based McLaren Packaging, said: “Congratulations to Gemma for winning recognition as the Best Scotch Ambassador in the world; a well-deserved winner and popular victor in this fiercely-contested category.

“Packaging plays a vital role in whisky branding and, as such, we’re delighted to support these awards to help raise awareness of our innovative, premium drinks packaging solutions within the buoyant whisky sector.”

Rob Allanson, editor of Whisky Magazine, added, “This year’s Icons of Whisky Awards have seen us truly search across the globe and we’ve been rewarded with greater depth than ever before. With winners coming from South Africa to Australia, and China to Scotland, this has been a great showcase of the diverse world of whisky. Congratulations to all of our winners and of course, thank you for everyone who has got involved in nominating and voting for their icons.”
