Innes House, the distinguished 17th-century exclusive-use property nestled in the heart of Moray’s breathtaking countryside, is delighted to announce a series of renovations and enhancements across the estate, as preparations are finalised to welcome guests for the NEW 2026 season. Blending historic charm with modern comfort, these updates, which took place over the winter, ensure an ongoing elevated experience for weddings, private stays, and events at Innes House.

Among the most exciting developments is the transformation of the Tulip Room, which is currently being upgraded to feature a large, luxurious walk-in shower. The bedroom will also welcome a newly installed four-poster bed this week, becoming the fourth such feature within the house and further enhancing its timeless elegance.

Across the estate, careful attention has been given to presentation and upkeep. Painters have refreshed interiors throughout the house, while the East Ballroom floor has undergone its annual varnish, restoring its natural beauty ahead of a busy events calendar.

Approaching its first anniversary, Innes House was delighted to launch Viewfield Farmhouse, the estate’s newest self-catering accommodation, in 2025. The estate was also part of two JOULES (fashion) photoshoots, enjoyed festive Yuletide fairs with Exclusively Highlands and hosted many other events last year. The estate embraced a full rebrand, resulting in an elegant new reflection of the estate’s heritage, elegance and timeless charm, which continues to see strong interest as a premiere destination for weddings and private events.

Looking ahead, new estate signage is planned, aligning with updated branding to enhance the visitor experience. Installation is anticipated ahead of the season ahead.

Beyond the house itself, Innes is expanding its storytelling and digital presence. A series of long-form YouTube features is currently in development, with contributions from notable figures including the estate’s chef Tim Maddams, formerly of The River Cottage, and notable nearby estates. Additional content will spotlight the character of the house, with owner, Edward Tennant and his father Mark Tennant, introducing individual rooms and sharing insights into life at Innes House. Seasonal garden updates will also be shared through a new blog series led by head gardener Simon.

The estate gardens are receiving significant care and investment as part of the seasonal preparations. The historic walled garden is being revitalised with natural mulching using estate-sourced manure and straw, nourishing borders and mature trees including larch and oak. Plans are also underway for the kitchen garden to produce fresh fruit and vegetables for use at weddings, house lets, and private events, further enhancing the estate’s commitment to sustainability and locally sourced experiences.

As Spring arrives and Summer approaches, Innes House stands ready to offer guests an exceptional blend of heritage, comfort, and authentic Highland hospitality.
