Glasgow fans of Dolly Parton are being invited to dust off their cowboy boots for a special “5 to 9” party celebrating the life and music of the country icon.

The Dolly-themed event will take place at Saints of Ingram on Friday 25 September, running from 5pm to 9pm as part of Glasgow Cocktail Week.

A live DJ will provide the soundtrack for the evening, playing tracks from across Parton’s celebrated catalogue, including Jolene, 9 to 5, Here You Come Again and Islands in the Stream, alongside other country music classics.

Guests will be able to enjoy Saints of Ingram’s plush surroundings while sampling a specially created menu of signature cocktails.

Nicola Gemmell-Moir, founder of Glasgow Cocktail Week, said: “Dolly Parton brought so much colour, joy and brilliant music into people’s lives, so we wanted to bring Glasgow together for a proper celebration in her honour.

“Expect cowboy hats, Spritzes and Dolly’s biggest songs from 5 to 9. It’s going to be a really fun party and a chance for everyone to raise a glass to the queen of country.”

The event forms part of Glasgow Cocktail Week, an independently run, female-founded festival celebrating the city’s hospitality industry through exclusive drinks, cocktail trails, masterclasses, parties and special events.

More than 70 Glasgow bars are expected to take part in the 11-day festival, which runs from Thursday 24 September until Sunday 4 October.

Festival wristbands give cocktail lovers access to exclusive festival drinks and selected events and experiences at participating venues.
