Aberdeen-based Caber Coffee has teamed up with one of the city’s leading influencers to create a unique platform designed to showcase the area’s hospitality sector.

The family-run business has joined forces with social media sensation Tok of the Deen to create a brand-new series that will shine a light on a host of local food and drink businesses, and the people behind them.

Through a series of planned posts, Caber Coffee and Tok of the Deen will highlight the richness and diversity of the local hospitality scene, successfully marrying Caber Coffee’s decades-long work in the sector with Tok of the Deen’s expansive social media presence.

Commenting on the project, Caber Coffee Managing Director Findlay Leask said: “There is a lot of attention on the huge challenges facing the sector, and rightly so, but there is also a lot to celebrate and we felt compelled to find a way of shouting about what is going on, right here, right now.  Great work is already happening to share reviews and recommendations via social and other media, and we hope this new project will add depth to that by showcasing the people and places behind the businesses.

“By working with Tok of the Deen, we hope to turn up the volume on some of the businesses who are doing incredible things and remind people that there is still a rich seam positivity, creativity and energy in spite of the difficulties.”

Tok of the Deen’s Lesley-Ann MacGregor added: “This is about the people behind the places that make Aberdeen what it is.  There are so many good things happening and people don’t always see the people, the craft and the businesses that keep this city going – and there are so many great stories to tell.  Telling Aberdeen’s stories is what we’re all about and this is an exciting new part of that.”
