LOVE WILL be in the air at the Craighaar Hotel as they launch their exclusive Valentine’s Day menu.
To celebrate the most romantic day in the calendar, Kenny Moir, the head chef, has put together a specially curated menu of beautiful dishes, guaranteed to charm every couple that walks through the door.
The menu features classic starters such as cream of mushroom soup, and an asparagus, sweet pepper and goats cheese tart. For the seafood lover there are beautifully sautéed king prawns, or a gorgeous salmon terrine served with pickled cucumber salad and horse radish cream.
Next up on the menu are the magnificent mains. These include a Craighaar speciality; the pan seared fillet steak. Produced from the finest British cattle, it is perfect for any meat lover.

If the steak doesn’t tempt you then there is a delectable seared roasted duck breast, served with a butternut squash puree, fondant potato and creamy savoy cabbage.
To finish your meal on the sweetest note, there’s the traditional Craighaar sticky toffee pudding served with crème fraiche and drizzled in warm toffee sauce. For something a bit fruitier why not try the lemon and lime syllabub served in a chocolate cup with macerated berries.
Kenny Moir, has been leading the kitchen at the four-star Waterton Road hotel for the past 31 years, he said: “We know how special Valentine’s Day is, and it is our aim to create the best experience possible for anyone who comes through our doors.”
“Our dishes are made from the best, locally-sourced ingredients and we pride ourselves on ensuring that there’s something for every pallet.”
Robert Smith, Managing Director of Brudolff Hotels Group said: “Valentine’s Day is such a wonderful time of year, and Kenny has done a fantastic job of creating a menu that truly reflects that.
