City centre seafood specialists Bizarron have unveiled a fresh new menu at their 111 Hope Street, Glasgow restaurant, featuring “The Lobster Bag” as its headline culinary test. The late-license bar and all-day restaurant, located in the premises formerly known as Ad Lib, has officially launched the exciting new themed offering designed for diners to share, socialise, and celebrate from lunchtime through till late.
Central to the new menu is Bizarron’s spectacular Seafood Boil experience, served in generous, flavour-packed bags designed for two people. These interactive feasts aim to bring a fun and filling brand of fresh dining to the heart of Glasgow.
The ultimate offering on the menu is The Lobster Bag, which includes one whole lobster, 10 king prawns, 10 mussels, 10 clams, two corn on the cob pieces, two boiled eggs, sausages, and potatoes, served with a side of sourdough or rice.
Other showstopping options in the Seafood Boil selection include The Shrimp and Crab Combo, featuring 10 head on shrimp pieces, 10 mussels, 10 clams, a full brown crab, corn, eggs, sausages, and potatoes. Diners can also opt for The Surf No Turf Bag, which combines shrimp, langoustines, mussels, clams, corn, eggs, sausages, and potatoes.
Hannah Flinn, Bizarron general manager, said: “Bizarron brings something very different to the party in Glasgow. Our Seafood Boil offer is high-energy, fun-filled and very much an interactive social dining experience, bang in the centre of the city, before we even mention our range of contemporary paellas for two or four.
“Beyond our signature long bar area, we have an abundant, naturally lit space which is perfect for large groups or couples choosing Bizarron as a base to start, or finish, a big day out. The freshly made Lobster Bag – or equally either The Shrimp and Crab Combo or The Surf No Turf Bag – are vast dishes which are guaranteed to satisfy, so do you and yours have what it takes to take them on?”
Following closely behind the seafood boils, the restaurant also presents a stunning new selection of traditional and contemporary paellas. These dishes feature rich, aromatic rice bases layered with exquisite ingredients. Diners can dive into the Arroz Con Mariscos, a Peruvian-inspired seafood paella loaded with squid, shrimp, mussels, scallops, tomato, green peas, and a dusting of grated parmesan, with an optional crab supplement.
A classic Grilled Paella Mixta is also available, offering a meaty mix of chicken and pork, with seafood. For vegetarian visitors, a vibrant Paella de Verduras provides saffron-infused rice packed with bell peppers, artichokes, green beans, courgettes, and mushrooms. Alongside these new additions, Bizarron continues to serve its strong staple of tasty tacos, banging burritos, and brilliant burgers, with the Bizarron Birria Burger noted as a firm favourite with regulars.
The establishment also offers carefully curated cocktails headlining its drinks menu. DJs perform live at the weekend, and a 3am finish is available on selected nights.
The new themed menu is available now for bookings and walk-ins. To secure a table or view the full menu, visitors can visit www.bizarron.com or call 0141 221 6334.
