Dundee Cocktail Week is back for its third year, with the latest event receiving a full summer makeover.
More than 25 venues have already signed up to take part in the 10-day cocktail celebration which takes place from Friday, July 19 to Sunday, July 28, 2024.
Establishments from high-end cocktail bars such as Bird and Bear, Jute Bar and Temple Lane to local boozers including The Barrelman, Bertie Mooney’s and The Tinsmith are just some of the venues lined-up to offer a series of signature drinks.
It’s not just bars getting in on the action. Restaurants have signed up, too, with Dundee’s popular The Tayberry, Malmaison, Black Mamba and The Horeb Food Co offering unique menus and dishes throughout the event.

Dundee Cocktail Week was first launched in 2022 and has traditionally taken place in October. It is estimated that it generated £487,021 for the local economy in 2023 alone.
This year, organisers M.ad Agency, a Scottish marketing agency based in Dundee, want to bring the event into the summer months to ensure locals and tourists alike can experience the discounts and offers participating venues will be running.
To take advantage of these deals, including exclusive discounted signature drinks, festivalgoers must purchase a wristband which unlocks the savings. Wristbands are priced from £5.95 plus a small booking fee and will see enthusiasts get access to more than 100 different deals across the participating venues, including drinks from £5 or discounts on dining out.
This year hospitality group Hotel Indigo has signed up as the official Hotel Partner of 2024, ensuring those attending the event can benefit from staying overnight in the city at a discounted price. The hotel’s restaurant Daisy Tasker will be participating in the event as will its new lobby bar Eighteen 22.
The hotel is offering 20% off food and drink at both Daisy Tasker and Eighteen 22 and will offer 20% off their best available bedroom rate from July 19 to 27. To get access to the deal customers must email reservations@indigodundee.co.uk and quote DundeeCocktailWeek24 to book.
Dundee cake and gin fans will want to get down to try out their Piece of Cake signature drink which is made up of Dundee Cake Gin liqueur, lime, sugar and tonic water. It is priced at £6 for the event which is almost a 40% saving.
Alice Christison, director of M.ad Agency, said: “Following on from the success of previous events and with Dundee Food Festival coming up in July, too, we wanted to continue the momentum of supporting local and have launched the event earlier this year.
“Dundee Cocktail Week has always been popular with locals and independent businesses, and by offering unique discounts at various bars and restaurants we’ll get more people out enjoying Dundee’s hospitality industry.
“There’s no denying times have been challenging for venues in and around the city, but the feedback we receive from businesses is that the event is always a huge help in driving customers through their doors and bringing new clientele in, too. We’re excited to bring the event back.”
