The Old Manse of Blair has received a five star restaurant with rooms rating from Visit Scotland. The Scottish national tourism agency has also awarded The Orangery a prestigious Taste Our Best award.

It is great news for the hotel, which only opened its new restaurant just over twelve weeks ago on 31 March 2019. The Orangery is under the leadership of Executive Head Chef, Jonathan Greer, formerly of The Gleneagles Hotel and Ballathie House.

The restaurant, which is open daily over high season, prides itself on creating family friendly, Scottish contemporary food, using only the freshest seasonal ingredients and the finest local produce.

Owner, Anne MacDonald commented, “We are absolutely thrilled to have achieved such a high rating and a food award from Visit Scotland in such a short space of time. We have a fantastic team here at The Old Manse and this is a wonderful reward for all their hard work, care and attention to detail.”

Set on its own private estate just off the A9, The Old Manse of Blair is located between the cities of Glasgow, Edinburgh and Stirling and the Highland Capital Inverness, the start of the NC500 driving route.
