May 25 sees artisanal chocolate producer Gnaw launch its 4-strong Impulse bar offer (35g) consisting of four involving milk chocolate flavours wrapped in vibrant fully recyclable wrappers.

Popcorn & Peanut, Honeycomb & Caramel, Sticky Toffee Pudding and Seville Orange
The arrival of a striking impulse offer has been central to Gnaw’s longer-term growth plans taking its compelling ‘underdog’ story from the confectionery and gifting aisles into the ‘small moments of joy’ impulse fixture.

Whether we’re talking garage forecourts, stylish coffee chains, thoughtful airlines, department stores, delis, leading edge workspace food pitstops, high-end vending, gym foyers, quality foodservice sites, cinemas & theatres, Eurostar, online colleague boxes……., there’s always room for a brand that offers clear emotional connections with inquisitive consumers.

According to Gnaw spokesperson, Josh Patterson: “We’re fortunate that our long-standing commitment to create NEW flavours in chocolate has tallied with many retailers’ ambitions to trade up and differentiate their impulse treat fixtures.”

At a time when the country’s current economic landscape looks a little bleak and the call for health-conscious brands has never been greater, it’s interesting to see that brands that offer distinct, ‘small moments of joy’ propositions: mid-morning pick-me-up, a thinking time accompaniment, on-the-hoof treat, a guilt-free, I deserve this timeout are very much in vogue.

Josh concludes, ‘We’ve thought for some that the Gnaw story deserves to be told beyond the confectionery fixture, which is why a move into Impulse couldn’t be ignored any longer.’
