An award-winning inland surf resort just minutes from Edinburgh Airport is set to host one of Scotland’s most exciting sporting events this spring, as the Hi-Land Fling returns to Lost Shore Surf Resort from 14–17 May.

Home to Europe’s largest wave pool, Lost Shore will welcome 20 of the world’s best surfers for four days of high-octane action, bringing elite-level competition to its state-of-the-art Wavegarden-powered lagoon.

Open entirely to the public, the event promises a rare chance for spectators to get up close to the action and even share the water with professional athletes during dedicated surf jam sessions.

A spokesperson for Lost Shore Surf Resort said: “The Hi-Land Fling is all about bringing world-class surfing to Scotland in a way that’s accessible and exciting for everyone. Whether you’re a seasoned surfer or just curious, it’s an opportunity to experience the energy of the sport right here in the heart of Scotland.”

Beyond the waves, the resort will transform into a vibrant festival-style hub, with pop-up food and drink stalls showcasing a mix of local favourites and major brands. Visitors can expect offerings from Lost Food, presenting the resort’s new kitchen menu, alongside drinks from Rubicon Raw Energy, Dead Man’s Fingers, Lonkero, Pilot Beer, Days alcohol-free lager, and Thatchers, which will be serving its new blood orange cider and cloudy lemonade.

Coffee will be provided by Machina, with additional on-site vendors including The Brew Defender.

The spokesperson added: “We’ve created more than just a surf competition, it’s a full experience. Great food, great music, and a welcoming atmosphere make it a brilliant day out for families, friends and surf fans alike.”

Located just a 10-minute drive from Edinburgh Airport, Lost Shore Surf Resort has quickly established itself as a standout destination for both leisure and sport, combining cutting-edge technology with a laid-back coastal feel, all without the need to head to the sea.
