Edinburgh based specialty coffee roasters, Machina Coffee Roasters, has announced the opening of a new training, events and showroom space set to elevate the coffee experience for Scottish hospitality businesses.

The new hub is a state-of-the-art showroom featuring industry-leading technology from La Marzocco, Mahlkönig, and Victoria Arduino. Designed to develop and inspire specialty coffee creators, the space places hands-on learning at its core.

Bringing innovation and education together under one roof, the showroom will give businesses an environment to test new equipment, concepts and train baristas. Designed as a fully interactive space, it will allow teams to explore the latest developments in coffee technology. The venue will also host industry events and workshops, creating a flexible hub for learning, networking and knowledge sharing across the sector.

Steve Glencross, Managing Director at Machina Coffee Roasters, said: “Great coffee is one of the most significant opportunities for hospitality businesses to improve profitability, while supporting the overall customer experience, an area that is commonly overlooked.

“We recognised that our customers in Scotland lacked a dedicated off site space to develop their skills and explore new products, which led us to create a hub designed specifically for that purpose. I am so proud of what our team has achieved and I can’t wait to see the space in action.”

Alex Mackay, Wholesale Partnerships at Nuova Distributions UK Ltd said: “We are proud to support Machina’s vision for a dedicated centre of coffee excellence in Scotland. Providing hands-on access to coffee technology in such a collaborative environment is essential for the growth of the speciality market, and we look forward to seeing the talent that this new showroom will undoubtedly help develop.”

The new showroom responds to the continued growth of “away from home” coffee consumption, a trend that is increasingly shaping the specialty coffee market.

Adriano Trebbi, Group F&B Development Manager, Chris Stewart Group, said:“We’ve partnered with Machina Coffee Roasters for over 8 years, and in that time, they have consistently set the standard for quality, innovation and support within the specialty coffee sector.

“The new showroom will be a natural extension of that ethos, creating a hands-on, collaborative space where operators can explore equipment, develop their skills and connect with the people behind the brand.

“We believe this facility will be a valuable addition to the Scottish hospitality landscape, providing a hub for training, events and community engagement that will help raise standards and bring people together across the industry.”
