Aberdeen food lovers are in for a treat as The Burger Room officially opens its doors (12 February 2026) in the city centre, bringing bold flavours, vibrant buns, and playful eating challenges to the local dining scene.

Located within OGV Taproom on Bridge Place, the new venue sets itself apart with a showstopping menu that includes a six-person sharing burger weighing an impressive 3.3kg. The kitchen offers a variety of colourful burger buns and inventive flavour combinations designed to make every meal an event in itself.

For those seeking a challenge, the restaurant’s headline contest – aptly named the Highlander Challenge – dares solo diners to devour a 1.5kg burger within 15 minutes. Anyone who successfully completes it eats for free.

Both the sharing burgers and eating challenges are available by pre-order only, requiring three days’ notice. Bookings can be made by emailing events@ogvenergy.co.uk or sending a direct message to @the_burger_room on Instagram.

The Burger Room will welcome guests during the following hours:

  • Thursday: 16:00 – 22:00
  • Friday: 15:00 – 00:00
  • Saturday: 12:00 – 00:00
  • Sunday: 12:00 – 00:00

Food will be served until 10pm, while the OGV Taproom venue remains open until midnight on selected days, making it an ideal spot for both early diners and those looking to continue their evening with drinks.

With its daring menu and lively atmosphere, The Burger Room aims to bring something fresh to Aberdeen’s growing casual dining scene. Whether you’re up for tackling the Highlander Challenge or simply looking to share an unforgettable meal with friends, this new hotspot promises big flavours – and even bigger burgers – right in the heart of the city centre.
