Grain bowl and four chicken-based snacks launch in Tesco stores

Ready-to-eat food brand HIDE has expanded its product range with the introduction of five new items, including a grain bowl and four chicken-based snacks. The new products launched in selected Tesco stores on 14 October, marking HIDE’s entry into the supermarket’s snack aisle and a wider rollout of its food-to-go selection.

The new Chicken Shawarma Grain Bowl features chicken breast combined with shawarma-spiced spelt and chickpeas, chilli-roasted sweet potato, citrus pickle and spinach. It is served with garlic and herb dressing and red pepper hummus. This bowl contains 28g of protein, 8g of fibre, and two portions of a person’s five-a-day, and is now stocked in a further 200 food-to-go locations, bringing HIDE’s meal-deal presence to 990 Tesco stores. HIDE has also introduced four chicken-based snack products across 300 Tesco stores.

These include Tikka Chicken Bites with Red Pepper, Jerk Chicken Bites with Sweet Potato, Tikka Chicken Bites with Mango and Scotch Bonnet Chutney, and Thai Green Chicken Bites with a Coconut and Lime Dip. The company stated that these products are made using chicken thigh and breast, without artificial flavours, colours, or preservatives. Created by Lean Kitchen Network, HIDE is supported by scientific ambassador Dr Rupy Aujla and co-owner Grace Beverley. The brand focuses on convenient meals and snacks made with recognisable ingredients.

Dr Rupy Aujla said: “To put it simply, we’re making meals you can eat every day that your body will thank you for.” The expansion follows an increase in online interest in healthier food-to-go options, with the company citing growing demand for convenient snacks containing recognisable ingredients.
