Nuisance Drinks, a Scottish adult soft drinks company, is set to release a new Damson & Dandelion tonic in the New Year.

This follows the company’s recent merger with The Scottish Bee Company under the Natural Larder group in Autumn 2024.

The new tonic will join Nuisance Drinks’ existing range of low-calorie botanical drinks, which includes flavours such as Bramble and rosemary, Nettle and elderflower, and Pink Grapefruit and basil.

Founded in 2020 during the pandemic, Nuisance Drinks began when founder Hugo Morrissey recreated his mother’s nettle cordial.

The drink’s popularity at farmers’ markets led to the development of a more comprehensive range of unique flavour combinations.

The company’s focus on natural ingredients and innovative pairings aligns with the growing trend of premium adult soft drinks in the UK market.

Morrissey, said: “I knew from the outset that I wanted to create a range of clean-deck, low-calorie (less than 50 calories) adult soft drinks with clear sustainable convictions that could be drunk either straight from the can or as the perfect mixer with vodka or gin.

“In each instance, the vision was to blend deliciously distinct everyday flavours with some of the British Countryside’s unceremoniously shunned shrubbery.”

The Damson & Dandelion Tonic combines the bitter-sweet taste of dandelions with the sharp flavour of damsons.

This new product aims to tap into the ‘new-stalgia’ trend, which updates traditional flavours for modern tastes.

Like other Nuisance Drinks products, it is expected to offer a refreshing soft drink option with depth and substance, catering to consumers seeking sophisticated alternatives to alcoholic beverages.
