- The shopping centre has supported Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity for 10 years and raised half a million pounds to fund vital medical services and treatments in and around Glasgow.
Buchanan Galleries, together with long-term charity partner, Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity, has donated 500 chocolate Easter Eggs to children who are currently in hospital undergoing vital medical treatment and spending Easter away from home.
The generous chocolatey donation comes as a welcome treat to those young people currently receiving life-changing treatment, along with the NHS staff, at Glasgow’s Royal Hospital for Children.
Buchanan Galleries has supported Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity for 10 years, raising £½ million for children and young people facing life-limiting illnesses, their families, and the dedicated staff who care for them.
Donations from the public via Buchanan Galleries’ various fund-raising initiatives and purchases made at the charity’s flagship store within the centre have also helped fund hundreds of life-changing projects, services, and medical equipment.

William McGowan, Head of Business Development and Events for Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity said, “Easter time is always so exciting for children, with the school holidays, springtime activities and of course, a visit from the Easter Bunny. Many children however will spend this Easter in hospital, which can be challenging for them and their families. Parents and patients tell us just how much a little treat can brighten their day in hospital, so we are incredibly grateful to Buchanan Galleries for their continued support and for this generous donation.”

Buchanan Galleries has committed to hosting various initiatives and fundraising events in support of Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity in 2024.
