A traditional Scottish High Tea – a quintessential Scottish experience which is not as readily available across hospitality businesses as it used to be – is still going strong as one of the most popular offerings for Mother’s Day at Horizons Restaurant & The Waterfront Bar, Pettycur Bay Holiday Park’s popular eatery.
This delicious, and very sociable experience, sees diners start off with tea & toast, before tucking into a main course, and then finishing with cakes & scones from iconic supplier, Fisher & Donaldson. It’s available in Horizons on Sunday March 15, between 3.30-6pm.
Costing just £22 per person, the menu offers a choice of classic main courses such as steak pie, East Neuk haddock and chips, fillet of salmon, curry of the day, roast of the day, macaroni cheese, or lasagne.

“High Tea is a much-beloved Scottish tradition, very different from afternoon tea. It’s becoming quite rare to access these days, but is something that our customers absolutely love, especially on a multi generational occasion like Mother’s Day,” said Janet Murray, General Manager at Pettycur Bay Holiday Park. “We know that many people would be very disappointed if we did not offer it. It is our pleasure to keep this tradition alive and well.”
“Fisher & Donaldson is the name with the real track record in providing the sweet treats we love,” said Janet.
