Scotland’s sole Scotch whisky cream liqueur brand, Magnum, has significantly expanded its distribution across the nation through a partnership with Co-op in Scotland.

From its newly established production centre in Fife, over 500 litres of Magnum are now available in more than 50 selected Co-op stores throughout the country, including prominent tourist destinations in the Highlands and Islands, Bute, Arran, Tiree, Orkney, and the Scottish Borders.

Magnum has rapidly distinguished itself as the only cream liqueur exclusively crafted and bottled in Scotland, utilising single malt Scotch whisky from Speyside.

The liqueur’s premium ingredients and modern design differentiate it from traditional offerings. It features smooth, creamy caramel notes balanced with single malt Speyside whisky, culminating in a warming ginger afterglow. Notably, no other spirits are added aside from the Scotch.

The liqueur is presented in a unique, reusable, and recyclable stainless steel flask, designed to maintain the optimal chilled temperature without the need for ice.

Edinburgh-based Hemisphere Brands serves as the global brand agent for Magnum, overseeing everything from production planning to market entry strategies, as well as executing sales, marketing, and distribution plans.

Lee Schofield, Director for Magnum, said:

“Magnum really is going from strength to strength this year. Not only have we just launched the only global production and bottling centre of its kind in Scotland, but we’ve now just doubled our distribution with Co-op across Scotland.

“By teaming up with Co-op, we’ve carefully selected key retail outlets to help reach local communities in the Highlands and Islands, Bute, Arran, Tiree, Orkney and the Scottish Borders. These popular tourist hotspots will also help introduce Magnum to UK and international visitors who are looking for a truly authentic Scottish product and souvenir to take home.”

Located in Kirkcaldy, Fife, Magnum’s new cream production facility, in collaboration with logistics provider QAS, is already distributing the product across Scotland, the rest of the UK, Canada, the United States, and South Africa.

The latest automated technology enables the production of approximately 40 bottles of Magnum per minute.

Since their victories at the World Curling Championships in 2023 and the European Championships in 2024, Scotland’s world champion curling team, Team Mouat, has been the official brand ambassadors for Magnum.

Led by Edinburgh-born skipper Bruce Mouat, the team includes Hammy McMillan, Grant Hardie, and Bobby Lammie.

Magnum is now available to Co-op customers at selected stores across Scotland, priced at £24 per 70cl bottle (ABV 17%).
