WORLD-FAMOUS three-Michelin star The Fat Duck invites diners to explore what it’s like eating a meal in reverse.

For the first time ever, The Fat Duck is offering a unique dining experience with a limited opportunity to enjoy a tasting menu in reverse, starting with dessert. From May 7th to June 30th, alongside the classic menu, guests can opt to begin their meal with dessert and progress to more savory flavors, culminating in a refreshing nitro-poached appetite-whetter.

The concept of the Topsy Turvy Tasting menu originates from Heston Blumenthal OBE, the founder of the acclaimed three-Michelin star restaurant The Fat Duck. Known for challenging conventional eating habits with innovative dishes like Egg & Bacon Ice Cream, Snail Porridge, and White Chocolate & Caviar, Blumenthal has designed this reverse menu to intrigue the curious and adventurous diner.

According to Heston Blumenthal OBE, also renowned for establishments like the Michelin-starred Hind’s Head and Dinner by Heston Blumenthal, the Topsy Turvy Tasting menu offers a gratifying and gastronomic experience that stimulates the imagination. Blumenthal describes the concept as unconventional yet enjoyable, taking diners on a culinary journey of curiosity.

Blumenthal further explains, “The world is more topsy-turvy than we think. Many eating habits we consider fixed have evolved over time. It’s good to challenge perceptions and preconceptions. Who knows what you might discover?” This innovative menu invites guests to embrace a new perspective on dining and indulge in a whimsical culinary adventure at The Fat Duck.
