Glasgow, renowned for its vibrant dining scene, celebrated its culinary heart last night with a hosted panel discussion to launch Dining Tales (Tuesday, 19th November).
This captivating new book shines a spotlight on the stories behind some of the city’s most iconic restaurants and the trailblazing chefs who define Glasgow’s dining culture.
A perfect Christmas gift for foodies, Dining Tales is a collaboration between Marco Giannasi, owner of the legendary Battlefield Rest bar and restaurant and Glasgow author Alex Meikle.

The launch event saw book contributors – award-winning chef, Peter Mckenna of the Gannet, Giovanna Eusebi, the powerhouse behind Eusebi’s, Asif Ali from the iconic Shish Mahal, and author Marco Ginnasi host a lively culinary panel discussion with Glasgow author, journalist, and “man about town”, Paul Trainer.
From tales of perseverance and innovation to celebrating the community-driven spirit that defines the city, the evening was a love letter to Glasgow’s restaurant industry.
