Simon Howie, Scotland’s best-selling meat brand, is expanding its range with the launch of High Protein Steak Lorne – a modern take on Scotland’s iconic square sausage. Combining rich, meaty flavour with a performance-driven protein boost, the new product will hit Tesco stores across Scotland from Monday 23 March 2026.

Designed for those who want real food to fuel their day, High Protein Steak Lorne is made with 70% beef and delivers 24g of protein per serving (2 slices). Whether it’s a post-workout recovery meal or a hearty breakfast, it offers a satisfying, high-protein option without compromising on taste.

Gluten-free and versatile, it’s ideal for everything from a classic morning roll to easy meal prep. Each 270g pack contains four slices, providing two generous portions.

Steven Lynn, Commercial Director at Simon Howie, said:
“We wanted to create something that celebrates the heritage of Scotland’s square sausage while giving it a modern, high-protein twist. With demand for protein-rich products at an all-time high, this felt like the perfect addition to our range.”

High Protein Steak Lorne will be available in Tesco stores across Scotland from Monday 23 March 2026, priced at £3.25. It’s the latest example of Simon Howie’s commitment to innovation while staying true to quality Scottish ingredients.
