Award-winning independent bottler The Heart Cut has unveiled its latest venture – the Slow Whisky Club, a monthly subscription designed to spotlight one distillery at a time through storytelling, tasting and a touch of slow living.
Co-founded by Georgie Bell and Fabrizio, The Heart Cut has earned a reputation for its characterful single-cask releases. The new subscription takes that same ethos and extends it, offering members access to the team’s global network of distilleries and the unique stories behind them.
“The Slow Whisky Club is about opening up the wider whisky world – from household names to rising stars – and giving people a way to explore distilleries like never before,” said Bell. “It’s about opening up our little black book even further, and helping people understand what makes each distillery special, worthy of a pour, and – most importantly – a pause on life’s everyday hustle and bustle.”
Each month, members receive one or two 3cl Pocket Pours from a featured distillery, accompanied by tasting cards and digital content including videos and meet-the-maker insights. The format aims to bring drinkers closer to the people, places and processes shaping the flavour in their glass.
“We’ve spent more than 15 years visiting distilleries and tasting casks around the world,” added Fabrizio. “This is a chance to share that experience in a way that removes the need to research, compare or second-guess – it’s guided whisky exploration, made simple.”
New subscribers receive a welcome Pocket Pour of BARLEY before entering the monthly delivery cycle. The service is priced at £9.90 per month for one pouch or £17.80 for two, shipping included, with members also receiving 10% off BARLEY purchases.
Passing the dram on
Alongside the launch, The Heart Cut has introduced a trade-focused initiative aimed at bartenders and hospitality professionals. Aptly named ‘Passing the Dram’, it will grant complimentary three-month Slow Whisky Club memberships to ten on-trade participants across the UK, including London, Manchester, Bath, Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Liverpool, Brighton, Leeds and Birmingham.
Each recipient will then nominate another member of their local hospitality community to take up the membership, encouraging peer-to-peer learning and an ongoing exchange of whisky knowledge.

“Fab and I both started our careers in hospitality, so we understand the importance of category education from a development perspective,” said Bell. “We wanted to create something that encourages sharing knowledge and passing it on.”
UK hospitality professionals and spirits retailers can also access 20% off Slow Whisky Club memberships by contacting the company directly at hello@theheartcut.com.
With its blend of education, storytelling and accessibility, the Slow Whisky Club invites whisky lovers to slow down, savour each sip, and rediscover the joy behind the dram.
