To celebrate the launch, Doner Shack is giving away free kebabs to the first 100 customers
Kebab fans in Glasgow are in luck as Doner Shack has announced the opening date for its newest restaurant in the city.
Marking the second opening in Glasgow for the well-loved brand, the Byres Road venue will officially open the doors to customers at 12pm, Saturday 11th April. To celebrate the launch, the first 100 customers to sign up via the Doner Shack website and visit on opening day will receive a free kebab from 12pm, offering locals an early chance to get a taste of the brand’s signature dish.
The West End venue will be serving up Doner Shack’s iconic menu, including its flavour-packed juicy chicken shawarma and 100% beef doner kebabs, freshly-made fried buttermilk chicken tenders, loaded fries, and signature sauces, served with quality and speed. The menu caters equally well to a quick lunch, a filling evening bite, or a grab-and-go treat, appealing to the varied pace of Glasgow’s vibrant city life.
With the new Byres Road site joining the existing Glasgow Silverburn restaurant, Glaswegians will have even more opportunities to enjoy Doner Shack’s signature street food, marking an exciting step in the brand’s continued growth and investment in its home city.

The restaurant, located directly opposite Ashton Lane, will feature an area for dine-in, takeaway and delivery.

Opening hours will be Monday to Thursday from 11am to 11pm, and Friday to Sunday from 11am to 3am.
The brand is also looking forward to opening its Gordon Street restaurant in the city centre shortly after Byres Road, bringing Doner Shack to another key location in Glasgow’s high-footfall heart. With the opening of the third venue, the company will employ over 50 team members across its Glasgow locations, bringing jobs and opportunities for local people while continuing to invest in the city’s hospitality and street-food scene.
