New offering highlights award-winning spirits and B Corp sustainability credentials for the festive season.

Witchmark Distillery, based on the Fonthill Estate in Wiltshire, has introduced its inaugural branded gift set, the Founders Collection. The launch coincides with the distillery’s status as England’s highest-scoring B Corp-certified distillery.

The Founders Collection comprises three 5cl miniature bottles from Witchmark’s range of single origin English spirits. This includes the Single Origin English Vodka, which received a Gold Outstanding award at the IWSC with a score of 98 points. IWSC judges praised the vodka for its “luscious, oily texture that lingers”. The set also features the London Dry Single Origin Gin, characterised by piney juniper freshness, orange zest, and cinnamon warmth, alongside the Black Lime Single Origin Gin, described as a spirit with juniper and coriander notes elevated by black lime and Szechuan pepper.

Witchmark Distillery achieved B Corp certification in April 2025 with a score of 124.4, significantly exceeding the 80 points required for certification and making it the highest-scoring distillery in England. This certification recognises a commitment to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles. The distillery sources its barley from Fonthill Farm, which employs a regenerative agriculture system supporting biodiversity. Its operations within a restored Grade II listed barn incorporate sustainable practices such as solar energy generation and the use of bio-liquid propane gas for distillation. Spent grains and other by-products are repurposed for energy production.

The packaging for the Founders Collection reflects these principles, being produced in England and fully recyclable. The gift box features a debossed Hexafoil pattern, a symbol found carved into the walls of the distillery’s Grade II listed barn.

Ben Thomson, Marketing Director at Witchmark, stated, “It was important for Witchmark to be Christmas-ready with a gift set that feels premium and accessible. The gifting period is also a significant opportunity for discovery, so we wanted to give more people the chance to try our range of award-winning spirits and experience the quality and variety of what we produce.” The UK spirits market, valued at USD 24.93 billion in 2025, is influenced by a consumer trend towards premiumisation, with the premium spirits segment holding 35.5% of the market share in 2025. The craft spirits sector, which generated USD 1,100.9 million in the UK in 2023, is projected to reach USD 4,773.3 million by 2030.

Mr Thomson said: “As our first Witchmark gift set, we have been very considered about both the products and their presentation. The result is a purposeful, English-made pack that works equally well as a thoughtful gift or as an introduction to Witchmark.” Gift sets for spirits are a common offering during holiday periods, providing an avenue for product discovery.

Priced at £20.99, the Founders Collection is available from the Witchmark website, the Witchmark Visitor Centre, Independent Spirit of Bath, and Craft Drink Co. Further retail listings are expected across Amathus stores.
