COLD Town Beer has announced the return of its charity brew, Doddie Beir, in memory of the late Doddie Weir. It will be available across selected venues until the end of the Six Nations Rugby tournament.

The late Scottish Rugby legend first collaborated with Cold Town Beer back in 2020 to create the bespoke pint, Doddie Beir, to raise funds for Motor Neuron Disease (MND). Since Doddie Beir’s release, Cold Town Beer has helped raise over £6,500 for Weir’s My Name’5 Doddie Foundation which supports the lives of those affected with MND. This year, Cold Town Beer will be donating 20p from every pint of Doddie Beir sold.

Nic Wood  from Cold Town Beer said:

“Cold Town Beer is proud to share Doddie Beir with Rugby fans for another year running, with the hopes of donating a minimum of £3,000 to Doddie’s foundation and help raise awareness of MND. We will forever hold the Doddie Beir pint close to our hearts, it was an honour to have crafted the brew with Doddie Weir and we want his legacy to live on forever in our venues.”

Raise a pint with Doddie Beir which tastes exceptionally clean and refreshing, has a malty backbone with 100% malts and its key tasting notes are citrus, herbaceous and floral. It is available at any of the participating venues, available now until the end of the Six Nations Rugby.
