SeaFest Peterhead, the award-winning Aberdeenshire seafood festival, will return in 2025 following its highly successful event in September 2023.
The festival committee announced on Tuesday, July 9, that the next edition will take place on Saturday, September 13, 2025, with plans to expand into the town centre to encourage greater business involvement.
The event debuted in September 2023, attracting approximately 14,000 attendees to Peterhead’s Port and Harbour.
The decision to hold the event biennially was made to allow more planning time and ensure its continued success, given the scale of the celebration.

Organised by a small team of volunteers in just seven weeks, the festival showcased the region’s outstanding seafood industry and won the Best New Food and Drink Tourism Experience at the North East Scotland Food and Drink Awards 2024.
The 2023 festival featured diverse activities, including live cooking demonstrations by leading north-east chefs, wild cooking workshops, free children’s entertainment, filleting demonstrations, and an emergency services showcase.

As SeaFest Peterhead prepares for its return in 2025, the festival not only promises to showcase the region’s exceptional seafood industry but also aims to strengthen the community’s connection to its rich maritime heritage, further cementing Peterhead’s status as a key player in Scotland’s coastal culture and culinary landscape.
