The Crieff Food Company

SPECIALIST business property adviser, Christie & Co has been instructed to market The Crieff Food Company, an award-winning farm shop, featuring a food hall, cafe, and gift shop in Crieff, Perthshire, in the heart of Scotland.

Offering a wide range of quality food and drink and complimented with the in-store butchery and cheese and deli counters the food hall is a haven for shoppers and food lovers. The downstairs café and gift shop offers customers a relaxed atmosphere with breakfast, lunch, and sweet treats available.   The Crieff Food Company is regarded as a ‘destination shop’ for locals and tourists alike, who recognise the importance of locally sourced produce and homemade food.

The business is heavily supported by the local community and has been recognised with numerous awards, winning several Farm Shop & Deli Awards in 2020.

The site is ideally positioned in the centre of Crieff and surrounded by a variety of complementary businesses, with the nearby Crieff Hydro Hotel and Gleneagles Resort Hotel also bringing visitors into the town and surrounding areas year-round.

The current owner, Jamie Landale, a local farm owner from Crieff has operated The Crieff Food Company since inception in 2017 and has now reluctantly decided to sell due to other business interests. He feels the time is right to hand over to a new operator that can continue the business’s ongoing expansion and development.

Liam Bain, Business Agent at Christie & Co who is handling the sale, commented: “The Crieff Food Company offers a fantastic opportunity to acquire a multifaceted business still to reach full maturity. Expanding on the farm shop blueprint its unique offering is already proving both successful and profitable and could look to be replicated at other sites throughout the country. I am excited to work with Jamie in taking The Crieff Food Company to market and confident there will be high levels of interest.”
