Popular Edinburgh diner chain Hollywood Burgers & Shakes has opened for business in West Lothian as part of a strategic expansion plan.

Bosses launched their third Scottish outlet this week in Bathgate, the new venture seeing the creation of half-a-dozen jobs.

Renowned for its selection of smash burgers, Hollywood’s latest outlet opened its doors in the town’s Mid Street with the most popular offerings including the Top Gun, Raging Bull and Premier burgers.

With waffles, loaded fries, cookie doughs, halloumi sticks and milk shakes all on an extensive menu, diners are in for a treat.

“Edinburgh has been our focus since we opened in 2022 but we’re really excited to bring our Hollywood brand into West Lothian for the first time,” said owner Mohammed Shoaib.

“Customers will be enjoying the best smash burgers in the area that’s for sure and we can’t wait to welcome all our new diners from Bathgate and beyond.”

The chain has grown in popularity since opening its first Edinburgh eatery on Dalry Road in 2022 with a second following in Musselburgh’s High Street.

With the Bathgate location now up and running, plans for 2026 involve extending into the central belt.

“We now have three venues in Scotland and are looking at opening at least one more in the central belt,” added Mr Shoaib. “The coming year promises to be an exciting one for us.”
