SPANISH brewer, Estrella Galicia, has crowned its first UK Beer Master after a year-long search for the best in the business – Bartosz Bobrowski of Brindisa.

Beer Master Sessions is an international training and competition programme for key trade and on-premise partners that aims to share and celebrate Estrella Galicia’s beer culture.

The final stage of the programme, hosted in London, saw 20 beer professionals from across the country compete for the title of the Estrella Galicia Beer Master in the UK.

Participants were tested on their knowledge of beer culture and their skills in pouring and presentation. The winner, Bartosz Bobrowski, will go on to take part in the renowned International Beer Master final in Madrid next year.

The winner and runners up include:

  • Winner and the first UK Beer Master Champion: Bartosz Bobrowski of Brindisa London Bridge
  • Second place: Roberto Merida of Sabor, London
  • Third place: Bruno Emerson Maciel of Kaltur, Newcastle

Lindsay Castling, Senior Market Manager at Estrella Galicia, said: “Crowning our first UK Beer Master is a pivotal moment for Estrella Galicia. The Beer Master Sessions are a testament to our commitment to championing beer culture on an international stage. We look forward to welcoming our UK winner Bartosz to the Beer Master finals in Madrid next year to represent the UK’s thriving beer industry.”
