Mediterranean dairy specialists Futura Foods has been named among the top food and drink producers globally this year, picking up highly prized Great Taste awards for both its YAMAS! Greek Feta and YAMAS! Halloumi.

Recognised as a stamp of excellence in the food and drink industry, YAMAS! Greek Feta is awarded a Great Taste ‘above and beyond delicious’ 2-star and YAMAS! Halloumi is awarded a Great Taste ‘delivers fantastic flavour’ 1-star.

Both products received some fantastic feedback from the Guild of Fine Food’s expert panel of judges.

With YAMAS! Greek Feta described as “complex and very tasty” and “a full-on flavoured feta, this will stand-alone and does not need a salad.”

YAMAS! Halloumi was dubbed as “the flavour of a good halloumi” with a “rich and creamy palate that is not overly salty.”

This year, judging took place over 92 days in Dorset and London, with a panel of more than 500 judges putting the products to the test.

The line-up saw food and drink products submitted from an extraordinary 115 different countries across the world.

13,672 products in total were put through the competition’s rigorous blind judging process, with 5,590 products receiving a Great Taste award in 2024 (which is only 40.8% of the total products entered).

Rhian Kinman, Senior Marketing Manager at Futura Foods, said: “We are thrilled to be awarded not one, but two, Great Taste 2024 awards for both our YAMAS! Greek Feta and YAMAS! Halloumi especially as this is the first year we have participated.

“These awards are the most recognised in the wider food industry for taste and quality, and are sought out by consumers and trade customers alike.

“It reflects the time and effort that goes into the production of both PDO cheeses by our partners in Greece and Cyprus as well as the team here in Dursley.

“Getting that black stamp of taste approval on our products has been celebrated by the whole team!”
