GOLDEN Spoon Café, a family run bakery from Wishaw, has gone from strength to strength since Karmen Matsakova set the company up 18 years ago and has now opened its first city centre store at Buchanan Galleries, located on the shopping centre’s second floor, adjacent to Next.

The store is packed with a huge range of indulgent desserts such as their show-stopping cakes, French patisserie, tarts and brownies. Their mouth-watering menu also includes an assortment of freshly made sandwiches, waffles and ice cream, alongside a selection of fine coffee made by expert baristas and a variety of teas, juices and shakes.

Kathy Murdoch, Centre Manager at Buchanan Galleries, said: “Golden Spoon Café is a fantastic example of how we strive to support independent businesses and we’re excited to have them on board here at Buchanan Galleries. The café offers a variety of delicious baked cakes and patisseries suitable for any palette, which will no doubt hit the sweet spot for our visitors who are looking for a coffee catch up.”

Karmen Matsakova at Golden Spoon Café said: “I first launched the business 18 years ago and I’m thrilled to open my first shop in the heart of Glasgow City Centre. The fantastic team are trained and ready, and we can’t wait to meet our new customers and provide them with a sweet treat to remember.”
