Award-winning independent Scotch whisky bottler Saltire Rare Malt, named Best Newcomer at the 2025 Scottish Whisky Awards, is strengthening its United States presence with a new tasting series across New Orleans and Texas, introducing its rare single malts at some of the region’s most celebrated restaurants and dining destinations.
Building on the brand’s growing presence in the American market, the programme will showcase Saltire Rare Malt’s ultra-rare single cask Scotch whiskies through a series of guided tastings, bringing together Scotland’s rarest malts with exceptional food and drink experiences.
Guests attending the events will explore whiskies drawn from celebrated distilleries including Dailuaine, Spey, Ardmore and Tormore, alongside Falkland, the company’s sister Speyside single malt brand. Each whisky offers a distinct expression of its distillery and cask, reflecting the diversity and craftsmanship of Scotland’s whisky regions.
The expansion also builds on Saltire Rare Malt’s growing presence within the Steak House Hall of Fame network across the United States, following a successful launch in 2025. Working in conjunction with the organisation and its Managing Partner Ron Small, the brand is continuing to introduce its rare Scotch whiskies to some of America’s most respected dining institutions, bringing together Scotland’s rarest malts with the country’s celebrated steak house tradition.
Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse will host the opening event in New Orleans and a second tasting in Houston, while additional tastings will take place at Texas de Brazil in Dallas. The series concludes at TPC Houston in Sugar Land, a prestigious private members’ golf club within the PGA Tour’s TPC Network. The final event will introduce Saltire Rare Malt to one of Texas’ most respected golfing communities, further strengthening the brand’s presence across the United States whisky and dining landscape.
All tastings will be hosted by Saltire Rare Malt Global Brand Ambassador David McCallum, who will guide guests through the collection while sharing the stories behind each whisky, the distilleries from which they originate and the philosophy behind Saltire Rare Malt’s careful cask selection.

The Saltire Rare Malt collection is curated by internationally respected whisky experts Hans and Becky Offringa – known as “The Whisky Couple.” Hans, a Whisky Hall of Fame inductee and Keeper of the Quaich, brings more than 35 years of experience, while Becky Lovett Offringa is also a Keeper of the Quaich and acclaimed whisky author. Together they guide cask selection for Saltire Rare Malt – if a sample does not meet their standards, it is simply never bottled.
