New seasonal release features warming blood orange, cinnamon, and clove flavours.

Eden Mill has unveiled Winter in St Andrews, the latest addition to its seasonal gin range. This warming blood orange, cinnamon, and clove gin is a limited release, with only 500 bottles available. Priced at £32, the gin can be purchased at the distillery, through edenmill.com, and from select specialist retailers in St Andrews.

The new gin follows the distillery’s Summer in St Andrews, its limited summer gin. Winter in St Andrews has been created for aperitivo hour, with Eden Mill recommending its use in a Negroni. The suggested serve combines equal parts Winter in St Andrews gin, sweet vermouth, and Campari, built over ice and finished with an orange twist.

Hamish Maclean, Senior Brand Manager at Eden Mill, commented on the reception of previous releases. “Summer in St Andrews showed us there is a real appetite for small, seasonal releases that capture moments in this special town,” Maclean said. He added: “Winter in St Andrews is an ode to the shorter days, warmer flavours, and gathering round loved ones with a warming drink as the sun sets.”

Maclean further elaborated on the gin’s flavour profile within a classic cocktail. “Blood orange is a natural partner for the Negroni – bittersweet citrus merges with the Campari and the cinnamon and clove carry through the vermouth,” he explained. Maclean concluded: “To my taste, it’s rounder and warmer than the classic, and a serve we’ll be pouring at the distillery bar all winter long.”
