EDINBURGH artisan chocolatier COCO has collaborated with the Italian graphic designer, Marco Oggian, who has worked with over 150 brands around the world – including Nike, BMW, Vogue and Samsung, and now Coco Chocolatier.

His work uses simple shapes and bright colours to highlight social and controversial issues.  His posters and prints have been included in the Syrian War and the Black Lives Matter Riots. He said, “I am not afraid to stand up for a cause and it is visible in my work.”

The Easter collection for 2022 includes two spiced bars, Milk and Coco’s signature 61% single origin Colombian Dark Chocolate, both infused with Nutmeg, Cinnamon and other spices. Also features six velvety milk chocolate eggs that have been hand wrapped in gold foil, then enveloped in Marco’s brilliant artistry. Additionally includes The Easter Duck Milk Chocolate Egg with a Praline Centre.

Marco Oggian, Graphic Designer, commented: “I look at what surrounds me in nature or what is going on in the world right now which inspires me to start creating. I will first begin with a concept then doodle geometric shapes to create my aesthetic for the brand. I was really happy to collaborate with Coco, as I love the company and what they do for fair trade with the added element of art and design.”

Callum Haggerty, Brand Director & Owner of COCO Chocolatier, added: “The style of Marco’s designs work perfectly with our brand and what we represent. Both of us strive to make a positive impact and change in the world and are not afraid to be bold in the process. The unique animal and geometric doodles are sure to turn some heads and stand out. COCO allows artists the freedom of expression and to get creative with their work: for those who want to challenge the norms and go against the grain. This is exactly why we’re so happy to work with Marco.”
